Coffee with the Principal – November 20, Thursday, 8:45 – 10:00 AM, Faith Formation Room
A reminder about "Coffee with the Principal." The purpose of this is to give parents a chance to talk with me about how our school year is progressing. The main topic on my agenda for this meeting is to address our staff development this year, which is Differentiated Instruction, and how it will impact your child’s education by giving teachers the tools they need to better accommodate each student’s strengths and needs. I look forward to seeing you on the 20^th in the Faith Formation Room!

December 9 - Open House, Chili Supper and Reconciliation
We invite you to an evening of community, faith and education on Tuesday, December 9. Lourdes school, student council and parish will be hosting an all school Open House from 5:00 – 6:45 PM, Chili Supper from 5:30 – 6:45 PM, and a Parish Reconciliation Service beginning at 7:00 PM. Please take this opportunity to visit not only your child’s classroom, but to see the exciting curriculum going on in the other classes, as well as a time to build community with our school and parish family. A perfect way to end the evening and prepare for the holiday season is with the sacrament of Reconciliation. Mark your calendars for this evening of celebration!

Chili’s Lourdes’s "Give Back" Night
On Tuesday, November 25, Chili's in Davenport will have a "Give Back" night benefiting Lourdes Catholic School. 10% of your total bill will be donated back to Lourdes! Why not make life easier and consider a dinner out as you get ready to cook, host or travel just a few days later for Thanksgiving. Grab a group. Buy some scrip and head to Chili's on Tuesday night. Look for a copy of the flier to bring to be sent and e-mailed home or just remember to tell your server that you are eating there so they will "Give Back to Lourdes Catholic School". Thank you for your support!

Matching Grant Programs
Does your workplace have a matching grant program? As the year comes to a close, please check with your employer about matching funds in regards to your donations to Lourdes Catholic School. Many employers will match dollar for dollar, donations that you give to our school. If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Teri Powers at the church office, 359-0345.

Help Us Celebrate the Arts!
This spring, Lourdes Catholic School is going to Celebrate the Arts! We will be showcasing the Arts within our Community, Our School, and within Ourselves. Events include a Gallery and Talent Show; a Musical Concert by a capella group InPulse , along with their Educational Outreach Program; and a decorative wall Tile Fundraiser. In order to inspire our children in the area of the Arts, and help build the Fine Arts at Lourdes Catholic School, we need your help! We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate and assist with the events. There are many roles you can help with from behind the scenes organizing to helping on the dates of the event. Wreaths, Ribbons and Christmas Ornaments
Chris Harmsen has requested donations of wreaths, ribbons and Christmas ornaments to be used for a fundraiser. Donations can be taken to the Gathering Space of the Church where there are boxes marked for them. If you have questions, please contact Chris. Thank you!
