You’ll be receiving your formal registration packet the
week of May 12th. I ask you to read the directions carefully and complete
all pertinent information. Registration Dates Thursday May 22nd 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Tuesdays June 3, 10, 17, 24 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. *June 17 only Evening Registration Also: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. |

Thank you to all LCS students, families, and staff for
donating to Pennies for Patients. Over the last three weeks, LCS raised
$3443.13 to donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for continued research
and helping improve the lives of all patients. 5A is the winner of the pizza lunch donated by LLS. Their class raised $361.37. The winning activity for Mrs. Herter is “Singing the Announcements”. |

| Congratulations to Emma Whitty who placed 7th at the Science and Technology Fair of Iowa 2008. Emma, a 6th grade student, entered her project in the biological category in Ames, Iowa. She was eligible to go after she tied for 1st place at Lourdes Science Fair and took 2nd place at Assumption’s Regional Science Fair. Emma’s outstanding project, “To Feed or Not to Feed”, involved determining which type of food provided the most fuel for the horse. |

Congratulations to Austin Bries and Patrick Smith,
eighth grade students, who place 2nd in the Rivermont Academic Invitational!
Their hard work certainly paid off, making Lourdes Catholic School proud of
their accomplishments. Also congratulations to our 5th and 6th graders who
competed in this competition. Nice work, students! |

Congratulations to our boys basketball teams on a
successful season. Grade 6 won the Sportsmanship Trophy. They had a PERFECT score in sportsmanship. Grade 8 White won our Catholic league. They were undefeated! Grade 8 White and Blue share the tournament championship trophy |
